Astronaut Tom Akers

It was a real treat today to get to work with former NASA Astronaut, Tom Akers.  We were working close to Eminence Missouri today, our clients were good friends with Tom and he knew all the trails to get to the corners we had to GPS.  I have been acquainted with Tom for a few years and although he has flown four space shuttle missions, he is a real "down to earth" guy!  Read more about Tom here and here

My nephew, Regan Riggs, was my helper and he saw the sign that Eminence was "The Home of Astronaut Tom Akers".  I told Regan about Tom and said that we should go by his house and "swap howdy's".  Lo and behold he was there at the job site and Regan got to ride around with him a good part of the day!

  1. That is super cool, Bro. Ray! I wanted to fly on the space shuttle. They took John Glenn to see how space affected old people. I think the needed to know how it affected fat people too!

Glad to have you back on the blog, friend.
